Stephen F. Armbruster – Associate

Steve Armbruster was born and raised in New Orleans. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University in 1972. He then worked as a commercial fisherman, music club operator, and chef until entering Boston University Law School in 1991. While there, he was executive editor of B.U.’s Public Interest Law Journal. He graduated with his J.D. in 1994 and was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He returned to New Orleans and began practicing at NOLAC (N. O. Legal Access Corp.) where he specialized in unemployment compensation, social security disability, and other types of public benefits claims.

Steve has now been working at the Blake Jones Law Firm (formerly Scheuermann & Jones) for more than twenty years. He first focused on real estate assessment appeals. Since then, he has represented and won awards pursuant to the Jones Act or the Lonsgshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act for hundreds of clients who suffered injuries on boats, barges, fixed and moveable platform. He has also successfully represented clients involved in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and products liability claims, and social security disability claims.
