Steve specializes in the litigation of personal injury claims for men and women who get injured while working on boats, barges, and platforms in offshore and inland waters. He also successfully handles claims for Social Security Disability benefits brought on behalf of our firm’s clients. Steve joined Scheuermann and Jones in 1996. Since then he has helped win tens of millions of dollars in awards for worthwhile clients.
Upon graduating from Boston University Law School in 1994, where he was Editor of the Public Interest Law Journal, Steve returned to New Orleans and worked with the public benefits section of New Orleans Legal Assistance Corporation before joining Scheuermann and Jones. Prior to law school, Steve worked for MANY years in restaurant and music businesses. He worked as a chef in various venues large and small. He also co-founded the famous music club Tipitina’s in 1977 with a group of like-minded friends. Today he remains interested in promoting the city’s cultural economy, serving on boards of several major arts organizations.
