Lawrence J. Centola, Jr. – Associate

Larry Centola has practiced in the field of litigation for over 40 years, including business, criminal and the representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in tort matters. He has been Corporate Counsel at a publicly traded company, has represented a large local municipality and was a homicide prosecutor in the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office.

He received a BA in government from LSU in 1968 and his JD from LSU in 1971. He is currently serving on the Alumni Board of Trustees of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU as well as the Chancellor’s Council, and is a past chair of the Alumni Fund Drive. Larry is also on the faculty of the law school’s Trial Advocacy Program.

In 2003, he received the President’s Award from the Louisiana State Bar Association for his work in bar governance. Larry has been a member of the Louisiana State Supreme Court Committee on Bar Associations, where he served as chair, director of character and fitness, and as the examiner in tort.

Larry is a member of the Louisiana Bar Foundation and has received an AV rating from Martindale.
